ACTING THROUGH SONG IS PERFECT FOR YOU!

This practical vocal performance intensive will help you become a better STORYTELLER, PERFORMER and SINGER by looking at music from the actor’s perspective. Hone your storytelling skills with specificity, find your true voice by understanding your instrument, and gain a greater sense of personalization and connection by deep diving into the lyrics and their meaning. Bring out more of YOU in each performance that you give.

We will focus on Song and Lyric Analysis, Connection to Breath and Body, Storytelling in different genres of performance, from cabarets, the stage, to concerts, and Singing for Camera where we will learn how to shine in your Self Tapes/Pre-Recorded Videos, Live Video Auditions/Callbacks and Live Taped Performances. Giving you a physical tools to tell better stories through your work no matter what medium you are performing in.

Students can get one-on-one coaching to work on their specific voice and performance each week. In-Person students will have an opportunity to perform in a live showcase in the final week. The students will be able to take home a professionally shot video of the performance.

COVID-19 Precautions:

Safety procedures and protocols will be in effect for all in-person students at The Space. The Space staff are tested regularly and the facilities are cleaned and sanitized on a regular basis.

All students will be required to wear a mask inside the building and practice social distancing while in the building. Students can remove their masks for their performances only. The Space will have hand sanitizer, masks and cleaning supplies on hand if needed. Each student will have a designated seating area and work space that they will use for each session. This will include their own small table, chair, music stand and an area for a yoga mat. The performance area will be bare, with the accompanist and staff in a separate location. All will be distanced at least at the regulation 6 feet apart.

All students in attendance at The Space will be required to sign a general and COVID liability waiver. This is standard procedure in our facility and promotes the safety and health of the staff and students.
